1. Who we are
GradePod is operated by Sally Weatherly, based in Scotland, United Kingdom.
Contact email: hi@gradepod.com
Website: https://www.gradepod.com
2. What this policy covers
This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how it is used and stored, and your rights under UK data protection law.
We comply with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and applicable international data protection principles.
3. Personal data we collect
We collect only the minimum data required to operate GradePod.
Customers
When you purchase a product or access content, we may collect your name (if provided), email address, purchase and transaction records, and access information related to digital content delivery.
Affiliates (if applicable)
If you act as an affiliate or referrer, we may collect your name, email address, and referral and payout records.
Payments
Payments are processed securely by third-party payment providers. We do not store or process card details ourselves.
4. How and why we use your data
We process personal data for the following reasons: to deliver digital products you have purchased (contract); to provide basic customer support and prevent misuse (legitimate interests); to retain financial records for tax and accounting purposes (legal obligation); and where you choose to receive limited product-related emails (consent).
We do not sell personal data.
5. Emails and communications
We do not operate a general marketing mailing list. You may receive transactional emails (purchase confirmations, access instructions), essential service emails (delivery issues, access problems), and occasionally one or two emails about closely related products.
You can opt out of non-essential emails at any time by contacting us.
6. Third-party services
We use a small number of trusted third-party providers to run GradePod, including payment processors, digital file delivery services, video hosting platforms, and affiliate tracking software (if used). These providers process data only as necessary to provide their services and are subject to their own privacy and security obligations.
7. International data transfers
GradePod sells products internationally. Some third-party service providers may process data outside the UK. Where this occurs, appropriate safeguards are used in line with UK GDPR requirements, such as standard contractual protections.
8. Data retention
We keep personal data only for as long as necessary. Purchase records are retained as required by UK tax and accounting law. Email addresses are retained while needed for product delivery and support. You may request deletion of your personal data at any time, subject to legal obligations.
9. Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access your personal data, request correction of inaccurate data, request deletion of your data, object to or restrict processing, and request data portability (where applicable).
To exercise any of these rights, email hi@gradepod.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
10. Cookies
GradePod uses only essential cookies required for website functionality, security, and checkout processes. We do not use advertising cookies or behavioural tracking at this time.
11. Children and age limits
GradePod products are intended for learners aged 13 and over. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have permission from a parent or guardian to purchase and use GradePod products.
12. Changes to this policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page by updating the "Last updated" date.
